5 days / 4 nights - PANTANAL WILDERNESS SAFARI

Nature orientated trip for active and adventure seekers
This tour takes you far into the Pantanal to explore one of the rarely traveled parts of the northern Pantanal wilderness. The region is one of the world's richest natural reserves and a migratory stopover for ibis, ducks, storks, herons, egrets and many other species. It has a diverse variety of ecosystems, including, savanna lowlands and grasslands, seasonal wetlands, some beautiful lakes, rich forest areas, the Paraguay River, and the Estaçao Ecologica Taiama (ecological reserve). This reserve has the highest density of jaguar population in the entire Brazilian Pantanal.  To explore the region you will be based at our exclusive Wilderness Lodge; located 320 km from Cuiaba and 100 km from the city of Caceres, it is totally off the beaten path, far from the main tourist areas and crowds. Here the wildlife of the Pantanal comes right up to your door, allowing you to appreciate its riches first hand, and the opportunities for nature observation, birding, wildlife viewing and photography are endless!
Open to visitors since 2009, the Wilderness Lodge is a working fazenda that has been in operation for more than 100 years. Here you can savor typical local dishes and sleep in a traditional house which offers all the necessary comforts for an unforgettable stay. You can live the day-to-day life of an authentic Pantanal cowboy, as visitors can help out with the operation of the farm, from milking cows to rounding up cattle in the afternoon. The lodge is the ideal place for travelers who seek tranquility and intimacy. Due to the restricted number of rooms, we recommend that you make your reservations well in advance. With an abundance of fauna and flora, this region is one of the best wildlife sanctuaries in the entire Pantanal, and provides an experience never to be forgotten.
